Back to the Beach

Summer is right around the corner and most of us Floridians head straight to the beach. Whether it’s a day trip to Jacksonville beach, an investment property on the water, or just some new coastal touches to your home, these images will inspire you to bring the feeling of the beach inside.

Coastal color palettes usually include linens, off-whites, blues, grays, and soft greens. To keep the feeling of the space light and bright, keep your large upholstery items neutral and layer in a little bit of color with your art and accessories. You tend to find lots of jute, wicker, and grey-washed woods layered together to add texture. Shiplap is always a great addition to a beach house. It can be added on the walls or even on the ceiling. Finally, add in a little coral and a sea fan and you will feel right at home on the beach!

Hampton's Style

Although I have never been to the Hampton’s, I have certainly admired "the Hampton Style" for years. Their beach house interiors seem to look effortless in how they were designed and most importantly, they are so inviting that you want to check in for a week and never leave.

Sophistication yet inviting, Chic yet coastal… Life in the Hampton's is all about escaping city life and kicking back but also entertaining family and friends. Beautiful blues, great layering, and adding texture helps create spaces that seem very well thought out and designed. Consider incorporating this style into your design if you love a coastal feel. It's a gorgeous look and a great lifestyle.
